Have a light lunch and a drink whilst chatting with fellow members then leave on an easy route with some fine scenic elements to drive to Bonchester Bridge Care Home for a 2.00pm visit. Park up to display cars and chat with residents and staff who never get the chance to visit a Classic Car Show. SUMMARY:Six Bridges to the Sea - Drive it Day Run
DESCRIPTION:A Drive it Day Run with lunch for BVAC Club Members. This will be a run on Sunday 23rd April from Milestone Garden Centre\, Newtown St. Boswells to Berwick on Tweed\, with lunch close to Cocklawburn beach.\nThe route will include six bridges on the river Tweed though probably not the one illustrated as rebuilding works continue on the Union Chain Bridge and it is not now due to open until just after our Run. Lunch is available for the first 40 persons to register for the event. We will try not to turn you away but may have to ask some to bring a picnic or take their chances on finding lunch available. \nMore details and how to book will appear in the March Newsletter so get ready for action on this one. \n

Taking in a variety of different Border landscapes and a beautiful section of the Tweed valley beloved by J.M.W.Turner we will cross into Northumberland and explore conservation villages. The Tankerville Arms Hotel in Wooler is hosting us for lunch where we can rest and chat. Then onwards hugging the Cheviot hills and taking in the Yetholms before dropping into Kelso mid-afternoon. Whether you spend time in Kelso or head directly home will be your choice. DESCRIPTION:Our Milestone Breakfast Meets always attract a good variety of member’s cars but have you ever wondered what it would be like to have a short ride in one of your favourites? \nOn Sunday 14th August we will meet as usual and are encouraging members to offer each other short rides in their cars. There are a number of short trips available (5 miles+) and you may choose your own. If you don’t know the area well we will have some suggestions. Members are free to offer as many reciprocal rides as they wish or none at all if they prefer. There is no compulsory element to this and you are welcome to enjoy your usual style of Milestone visit. \nSome members may like to extend their stay over lunchtime as Milestone has facilities. Alternatively if you run out of time on the day you can arrange to meet up on another occasion. \nTHIS ACTIVITY IS ALL ABOUT HAVING FUN.
